This is a song about being at odds with oneself over whether their initiative to end their relationship was the right decision or not for both parties. Different lines of this song carry with them vastly different sentiments. "I'm staring at my hands...." is a vindictive line about reveling in the state you left your ex-partner in, while the line right before it and after it (I'm staring at wall/your feet) bemoans the separation.
